Timothy J. Coleman is a UA member and Metal Trades Journeyperson with UA Local 669, Road Sprinkler Fitters and works under the JATC as a Recruitment and Outreach Specialist. His scope of responsibility is New York State, Oregon and Washington State.
Tim is a United States Marine and served in the First Marine Division with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines and then for three years at Parris Island, South Carolina. After transitioning out of the Marine Corps, Tim went to work in operations, working 14 years for a Fortune 200 Company. His progressive roles included Production Manager, Plant Manager, Regional Production Director, member of Corporate Training and Development Team, Process Improvement Champion and Regional Manager. He had multi location responsibility working with acquisition plants in the Northeast as well as the Canadian Provinces of Quebec and Ontario.
In 2007, Tim started a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Staffing and Recruiting Company and has been supporting Local 669 with their recruitment and outreach. Tim has been hiring veterans for over 25 years and has been a huge ambassador for VIP, Helmets to Hardhats while leveraging his military background to network deeper into the Veteran and National Guard Communities.
In addition, Tim is a regular guest on America’s Workforce Radio, a National Presenter at American School Counselor Association, and Speaker at NY State Future Farmers of America, School Counselor and Skills events. He works extensively with NY State Workforce Development Organizations and is a active supporter and participant with Oregon Tradeswomen ARP and other ARP’s throughout his scope of responsibility. A father of three, Tim is an active outdoorsman, social dancer and tennis player, Tim lives in Glens Falls, NY.
